Author of Relationship in Recovery

I’ve spent the past 20 years studying addiction and providing evidence-based addiction treatment, and I’ve helped hundreds (maybe thousands?) of clients and students understand why one person develops addiction when another doesn’t.

These experiences inform my most important challenge - how do I help my three young daughters navigate this world that will never be “drug-free” without developing addiction?

I've designed Raising Resilient and Addiction-Resistant Kids for parents and caregivers looking for an alternative to typical anti-drug guidance that focuses exclusively on abstinence-only goals and zero-tolerance policies.
